Former Oregon head coach Chip Kelly is arguably the biggest name among college football coaches to make a move this year. Kelly is the new head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.
The latest up to date listing of NCAA FBS (division 1A) head coach fires, hires, resignations and promotions for the upcoming 2013-2014 college football season.
50-year-old Chip Kelly began his coaching career in 1990 at Columbia University where he was a DB and special teams coach. He landed his first head coach job at Oregon in 2009 where he won 3 PAC 10/PAC 12 championships and led his Ducks to two consecutive national championship game appearances in the 2010 and 2011 seasons.
The Associated Press named Kelly their National Coach of the Year in 2010, he also received the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year award along with several others for that season.
After much speculation about his future from the media and sports fans, on January 16th, 2013, the highly sought out offensive guru announced his decision to accept the head coach job offer from the Philadelphia Eagles.
